manifest.json

format_version 2 headers need a unique UUID, a version tuple such as [1,0,0], and min_engine_version [1,21,0]. Behavior modules use type data; resource modules use type resources. Never reuse UUIDs across two live packs.

Items

minecraft:item description.identifier must be namespace:name. Common components: minecraft:icon, minecraft:max_stack_size, minecraft:damage, minecraft:food, minecraft:wearable, minecraft:display_name.

Blocks and entities

Blocks use minecraft:material_instances to point at a terrain atlas shortname, plus destructible_by_mining and optional light_emission. Entities need type_family, health, movement, collision_box, and at least a stroll behavior. Spawn eggs are declared in the entity description.
